Product manager lifter
After my apprenticeship as a carpenter, I started out in the auxiliary equipment industry in 2001 as a career changer. I worked in the medical supply store for eight years, first in the field and later as a rehab manager. In 2009 I switched to the field service at a medical device manufacturer where I was able to round off my already gained experience with patient lifts.
In 2016 I came to SLK to establish the lifter portfolio together with my colleagues. As a product manager at SLK, I can ideally incorporate my twenty years of professional experience from the medical supply store and field sales force into the processes and the new and further development of our lifter portfolio.
WHAT ONLY DID WE THOUGHT?
Here are a few USPs of our SLK Multy product family!
1. TELESCOPIC STAND MAST
The telescopic stand mast turns the Multy into a hybrid lifter. It enables the Multy's to be used as an active lifter and universal lifter without restrictions with the optimal height of the pivot point depending on the type of application.
The height difference between the top and bottom positions is 340 mm. A pivot point that is as low as possible is required for an erecting process in order to be able to raise people with residual mobility, while a pivot point that is as high as possible is required for the transfer with a universal lifter.
2. FAST CONVERSION
The lifter can be converted from a Multy Universal to a Multy Active in just 35 seconds - the other way around is just as quick!

3. THE FURTHER DEVELOPMENT
In order to give the patient an even more secure feeling during the transfer process with the Multy Aktiv, we have redesigned the footboard.
It will be lower and narrower, so the patient will feel as if he is standing securely on the floor. In addition, the new shin pad will be more supple and therefore exert less pressure on the shins.

4. OPERABILITY VIA CONTROL BOX
Our lifters can not only be operated via the hand switch, but also via the buttons on the control box.
Operation via the control box also works if the manual operation should no longer work due to a fall damage. In this way, we reduce unnecessary customer emergency service trips for our specialist retail partners.
5. OTHER PRODUCT FEATURES
• Teflon washer between the lifter bracket and lifting arm
